+ ===== The 2h-Spear =====
+
+ * The weapon with the longest distance
+ * The weapon with most kills on the line
+ * The most important special weapon
+   * Not a beginners weapon
+
+
+ ===== Glossary =====
+
+ * **Blind side **- the position where the opponent(spearman) can't see the attacker
+ * **Suppressing fire(gaining the high ground) **- Making more attacks than the opponent
+ * **Evasive combat**- moving backwards while still being able to inflict heavy casualties on the opponents
+ * **The direct opponent **- The fighter right in front of the attacker
+ * **Flank(ing) **- move to a position where it's easier to hit the direct opponent
+
+
+ ===== Glossary 2 =====
+
+ * Positions on the line
+     * In front of
+     * In the line
+     * Behind the line
+ * Out of the line
+
+
+ ===== Select your spear, actively! =====
+
+ * There are many different kinds of spears, all with different properties. Select actively, which one you will fight with.
+     * Heavy
+     * Fast
+     * Wings
+     * Long/short blade
+ * People typically tries many different swords before selecting the one they want to fight with.
+ * Select your spear type from the type of fighter you are.
+
+
+ ===== Intuitive fighting =====
+
+ * You follow the flow of the fight. You don't think about what you do, you just do it.
+ * It gives you speed, but also gives you tunnel vision
+ * You can only do, what you have trained.
+ * You have no battelplan, other than to win
+
+
+ ===== Analytical fighting =====
+
+ * You have a better overview of the battle
+ * More options to choose from
+ * Choosing the right tactics at the appropriate time
+ * Constantly renewing the tactics, based on the development of the battle
+   * Longer response time
+   * What to gain
+
+
+ ===== The 7 fighting styles =====
+
+ * 7 boxes is easy to remember
+ * They can be used at the same time, but needs to be trained separately
+
+
+ ==== Counterattack ====
+
+ * Position: Behind the line (1-1½ steps). Blindside.
+ * Aim: Take out opponent spears
+ * Execution: Standing in the safety of the opponent's range and when the opponent attacks, you counter his attack.
+ * Advantage/Disadvantage : You are safe when your are not attacking, but your selection of targets is limited.
+
+
+ ==== Offensive ====
+
+ * Position: In the line
+ * Aim: Doing what spears does best, kill
+ * Execution: Standard spear fighting
+ * Advantage/Disadvantage: Lots of opponents to hit, but you are vulnerable to counterattacks and snipers
+
+
+ ==== Defensive ====
+
+ * Position: In the line → Behind the line
+ * Aim: Staying alive, but still keeping pressure on the opponens
+ * Execution: Standing almost in line but only targeting the shields
+ * Advantage/Disadvantage: You are safe when your are not attacking, but your selection of targets is limited
+
+
+ ==== Sniper ====
+
+ * Position: Out of the line, and steps in to attack. Blindside. Flanking
+ * Aim: Kill inattentive opponents
+ * Execution: Are completely out of line, with full visibility. When seeing an inattentive opponent, or an opportunity to attack from the blind side, attacked there.
+ * Advantage/Disadvantage: Can remove key personnel from the line. Requires overview. It takes time to move around the line. Less effective if opponents presses.
+
+
+ ==== Machine gun ====
+
+ **Offensive/Defensive**
+
+ * Position: In the Line
+ * Aim: To put pressure on opponents, either by breaking pressure from the opponents or to put pressure on them when your line attacks.
+ * Execution: The spear attacks in a wide range and hitting as many spots as possible(**Suppressing fire)**. Not necessarily to kill, but to slow down the opponent or put maximum pressure on them
+ * Advantage/Disadvantage: You can put enormous pressure on the opponent, but you become an easy target for Counterattacks or Sniper.
+
+
+ ==== Frontline Attacker ====
+
+ * Position: In the line or even in front of it
+ * Aim: Using **Suppressing fire **to get the opponent to be defensive and there by having the ability to control the fight.
+ * Execution: Be aggressive and dominate the opponent, so they can not attack
+ * Advantage/Disadvantage: If you are good, you have control and can singlehandedly put pressure on many opponents. But you are very exposed and is a prime target.
+
+
+ ==== Assist spear (teamwork) ====
+
+ * Position: Close to an other spear.

  ===== Commanding =====

  Commanding is a necessary process in line combat. On the one hand, because coordination is not possible during the fight itself, and on the other hand, because the individual loses an overview of the overall situation during his own fight. The leader is also responsible for motivation and motivational speeches. If the fight takes place in the context of a show, acting talents may also be required, although this task is often delegated.

-
- ===== Teil 1: Grundlagen =====
-
- \\
- === Begriffe: ===
- \\
- **Gruppe:** Mannschaft, die meist/ oft zusammen trainiert (hoffentlich). \\
- \\
- **Anführer:** Chef einer Gruppe bzw. Chef einer Truppe.\\
- \\
- **Linie:** Die häufigste Kampfformation in unserem Kampfsport.\\
- \\
-
- ~~UP~~
-
- ===== Teil 2: Von den Kämpfern =====
-
- \\
- === Weiterhin sollten folgende Eigenschaften vorliegen: ===
-
-   * Sehr gute Kondition
-   * Perfekte Waffenbeherrschung
-
- __**Grundsatz: Gute Leute muss man haben!**__
-
- ~~UP~~
-
- ===== Teil 3: von den Gruppen =====
-
- \\
- \\
- __**Grundsatz: Ohne funktionierende Gruppen geht gar nichts!**__
-
- ~~UP~~
-
- ===== Teil 4: Von den Anführern =====
-
- \\
- === Anführer von Gruppen müssen: ===
-
- Ihre Mannschaft trainieren.\\
- Ihre Mannschaft organisieren.\\
- Ihre Mannschaft auf die Schlacht vorbereiten.\\
- Ihre Mannschaft in die Anlage einpassen.\\
- Ihre Mannschaft motivieren.\\
- Ihre Mannschaft im Gefecht führen.\\
- In das Gefecht wenn nötig persönlich eingreifen.\\
-
- === Anführer von Truppen müssen: ===
-
- An entscheidender Stelle persönlich eingreifen.\\
- behandelt. Denn er hat nicht den Plan gemacht.\\
- \\
- Führung muss man wollen.
- \\
- __**Grundsatz: Gewonnen wird gemeinsam, verloren wird allein!**__
-
- ~~UP~~
-
- ===== Teil 5: Vom Gelände und vom Wetter =====
-
- \\
- === Man sollte bedenken, dass ===
-
- \\
- Er muss beide Sichtweisen in seinem Plan berücksichtigen.\\
- \\
- \\
- __**Grundsatz: Die Umstände beeinflussen alles.**__
-
- ~~UP~~
-
- ===== Teil 6: Von der Zeit =====
-
- \\
- __**Grundsatz: Verlorene Zeit kann niemals aufgeholt werden.**__
-
- ~~UP~~
-
- ===== Teil 7: Vom Gegner =====
-
- \\
- Was würde ich tun wenn ich meine Truppe schlagen will und ich seine Truppe führen würde.\\
- \\
-
- ~~UP~~
-
- ===== Teil 8: Von der Planung =====
-

  In the game, 3 people form a line and another person positions themselves behind the line and follows it. This person coordinates the line.\\
  It is important to note that the learning focus is on the commander position. Those who form the line must listen exclusively and exactly to what the practitioner asks of them. Only in this way can they better recognise the effects of their commands and learn appropriately from them.

  On this page I try to present the most essential tactics in a pure line combat situation. We are talking here about a line section that cannot be circumvented, nor does it have any lateral boundaries. This is to be solely about the possibilities of the lines themselves. This is about a line where the opponent presents himself with a curve or a bend, or this has been created by combat.\\
  As always, I am interested in criticism and hints. EMAIL77377]

  ===== Origin and history of the traffic light system =====

- The traffic light system is an extension of the stop signal that originally developed in a sporting context. It has evolved in a different context (the BDSM scene) to allow for greater differentiation and to make boundaries visible in advance. The aim is to avoid jeopardising the mutual consensus, i.e. mutual agreement, without reaching or even crossing boundaries. Initially, a distinction was made between a stop word (also known as a safeword or stop word) and a caution signal (also known as a slow word). These signals then developed further in sport, based on rules governing severity and danger, and we have now added a signal for the absence of a response (also known as a false signal).

+ ====== Technique - Apologizing ======
+
+ In fencing, but also in life, there is always a situation, justified or unjustified, where it is appropriate, desirable or necessary to apologize.
+
+ An apology should always be direct and sincere. For it to be effective and help both sides, it should consist of the following elements.
+
+ - Acknowledging the other person's situation or harm.
+ - Explain exactly what you think went wrong (this point is more important for you).
+ - Take responsibility for what happened (This is particularly essential).
+ - Repent for what happened and vow that your behavior in the same situation will be different in the future.
+ - Offer compensation for the harm or ask what would be a suitable compensation. (This is not necessary in every case)
+ - Ask for forgiveness (this point is more essential for you and your relief).
+
+ All these components should be meant seriously by you, otherwise they have little meaning. It is crucial that something changes in the situation, i.e. that your own behavior changes. Otherwise, apologies will be useless, and the anger will only increase.
+
+
+ ===== Examples =====
+
+ Some of this can be expressed in very few words. Here are the good classics of fencing.
+
+ “Oh no, the hit was probably too hard. I didn't get the attack right and was distracted by another hit. I'm sorry. I'll be more careful in the future. Do you like cinnamon buns or beer? I'll bring you one later to make up for it. I apologize.”
+
+ Or even shorter:
+
+ “Oh no – I guess that hit was too hard. I messed up, that was stupid. I'll pay more attention there. A beer tonight to make up for it?”

+ ====== Assessing Hits ======
+
+ <blockquote>Hit perception is an essential skill in our game!</blockquote>
+
+ The person hit decides: What is a hit and what isn't. This simple rule results in several effects that we as players should be aware of. Only in this way can you strengthen your perception, recognize and classify hits accurately, play fairly, and avoid mistakes. Ultimately, the question is how you fight and what goals you want to achieve. For fighters, it's a question of quality: being able to perceive hits clearly and assess which effects have just taken effect.
+
+ The supposedly natural and obvious mechanism is the self-regulation of being hit. If you don't take a hit, you probably didn't feel it, so I have to hit harder. This supposedly results in everyone being willing to take their hits so they don't get hit harder. A kind of punishment mechanism. Hmm...
+
+ It's just that sensing hits doesn't work that way; there is no constant, omnipresent perception of touch. And logic creates errors, because: Punishments can also follow situations in which hits were not perceived for reasons other than a lack of clarity. Likewise, harshness also occurs where it was not intentionally caused and resulted from misjudgments or clumsiness. And last but not least, harshness is a sensation that does not result directly from pressure on the skin, but is composed of many factors.
+
+ ===== Which factors influence the feeling of hits: =====
+
+ First, there are the **physical factors**, whose effects we are mostly familiar with but rarely conscious of. The mass of the striking object, the area of impact, the speed of impact, the cushioning effect of various armor, etc. I recommend testing it yourself on your own thigh; this gives you an idea, especially with blunt weapons. Letting someone hit you with your own weapon is recommended for long weapons, which otherwise leave no impression on you other than the handling.
+
+ Then there are the **psychological factors**, whose effects we can partially imagine, but in a battle, it requires active awareness to incorporate them. This, in turn, requires experience and capacity. We can also only imagine these factors to the extent that we have actively observed or experienced them. I distinguish between stress factors and perception factors. Stress factors are: fear or shock, for example, due to pressure when fighting against many or better opponents, or an unexpected attack. Perception factors are overload or distraction, for example, during a tunnel of attention focus or during a moment of hectic activity.
+
+ Furthermore, it is important to remember that these factors affect both sides. Those who hit can be just as subject to physical and psychological misjudgments as those hit.
+ Hits are repeatedly misjudged, especially when both sides are actively moving, since the movements add up or not depending on the direction. It often happens that both sides are under stress during a wild break through a line.
+
+ <blockquote>I don't know which hits I missed, do you know?</blockquote>
+
+
+ ===== What do we count as a hit? =====
+
+ Rules dictate what is considered a hit and what isn't, but there's always room for interpretation. The following statements are all consistent with the rules, but what are you talking about? That was just a glancing blow from the spear, not a real stab. The spear was only behind my shield, not on my body. The hit came a little later than mine. The shoulder only begins with the T-shirt seam; it was still on the armpit.
+
+ My goal is to fight in such a way that I don't get hit. Not at all, not even outside the hit zone. So, at least in training, I make an effort to be as calm as a Hindu cow when it comes to taking hits. I can't simply abandon this attitude in competition, and I think that's a good thing. In concrete terms, this means: When in doubt, I take everything first and give feedback to the others. If a hit lands well outside the hit zone, I just announce it. If a borderline situation arises, I withdraw. In other words, if I think about whether it could have been a hit, it was one. At least for me, the situation wasn't properly assessed and controlled. Since many in our group feel the same way, it's good etiquette to announce an inappropriate hit you've made and ask to be ignored. Then you move on and can do better.
+
+ I usually go a step further with taking hits and acknowledge everything that has clearly broken my defense, even if a direct contact wasn't made. For example, if a spear came well behind my shield. The other person can ask me not to take the hit. I would do that, because my goal is to land my hits accurately and cleanly.
+
+ <blockquote>I'm happy about every hit, regardless of whether the other person takes it or not.</blockquote>
+
+
+ ===== Mark hits accurately and identify them =====
+
+ Receiving feedback is the prerequisite for learning progress and reaching an agreement on how to view the game.
+
+ ==== Regarding Hardness ====
+
+ In our group, we have a rule for determining the hardness of a hit that's similar to the headshot rule. A hit that's too hard = one round out. Here, too, the hitters decide what's too hard. Discussions are uncommon. We have a traffic light system to briefly indicate the hardness during fencing.
+
+ **Green** means: All good, keep going.\\
+ **Yellow** means: A hit that was borderline. Please be more careful and cautious.\\
+ **Red** means: That was inappropriate. You're out immediately and miss a round.\\
+ There are also:
+ **Ultra-Green** / **Glitter-Green** means: That was a wonderful hit, and it was a pleasure to experience it. Thank you!
+
+ ==== Regarding precision ====
+
+ Hits can be borderline not only due to their force or, according to the rules, at the limit of the hit zone, but also dangerous or borderline. This includes hits to the head, joints, or genitals – even if the latter are part of the hit zone, they should be avoided.
+
+ We should agree that we should also avoid making unruly, dangerous movements. Whether intentional or unintentional is irrelevant, because the goal is to master the weapon. Regarding unruly, we agree that we want to win fights through our effectiveness and not through our dangerous behavior. Stopping opponents by threatening their faces, which ultimately means threatening them with injury or at least with non-compliant hits, is at least not in keeping with our fencing art. Likewise, the rapid change of threat from the shoulders in front of their faces.
+
+ Basically, we want our opponents to feel comfortable at all times while we are fighting them down. We leave it up to the person we're trying to hit to decide what the other person considers too dangerous, just like with the force of the hit. We also use the traffic light system here.
+
+ <blockquote>If that's enough for you!</blockquote>
+
+
+ ==== Regarding the style ====
+
+ We fence with sporting equipment modeled after historical weapons. The historical form results in a function that we also want to replicate in the handling of our sporting equipment. We want to avoid the historical effect as much as possible. A cutting weapon is therefore also wielded with cutting movements, a slashing weapon with blows, and a thrusting weapon with thrusts. There can be disagreements about what a weapon can do; there are rules and experimental archaeology to clarify such questions. That's something for an evening discussion, not for the playing field. Most of us have an aesthetic appreciation for fighting and strive to refine our movements. Nevertheless, no one shies away from acknowledging when a hit is delivered safely for our protection, for example, when struck from behind, with the flat side. Those who feel confident enough to only strike with the flat side should do so, as prescribed by the rules. Nevertheless, we object that it is not consistent with the use of weapons, and that more training also leads to more self-confidence. A good example is our way of persuading.
+
+ <blockquote>Give the weapon a path!</blockquote>
+
+ ==== Discussions in and about combat ====
+
+ Over the years, we have encountered many ways of fighting in many places, and I find it strange who, in what way, thinks they can judge the feelings of others better than the victims themselves. The victims decide. It would certainly be nice to convince others of decisions that one likes better. But to do that, we have to convince them. There are people who choose the path of violence in an attempt to convince. More force – hmm – a path that is not destined for long-term success. Most people can quickly recognize why after just a moment's reflection! It is more convincing to set a good example yourself, and a good conversation is also helpful. Avoiding a bad conversation is legitimate; I do it that way too. Asking people how they see something doesn't hurt. But such a conversation is not for the playing field.
+ In addition to all of this, we have simple social rules for the playing field that we set for ourselves. If something bothers you, just say so once! If you don't like it at any point, leave! Don't talk pointlessly about what others are doing wrong!
+
+ <blockquote>Anyone who argues is dead!</blockquote>
+
+ ===== Last but not least =====
+
+ Ultimately, it's your claim that you can decide on, not those of others.
+ We're concerned with martial arts and a good game; miraculously, this claim also makes us good fighters who enjoy fencing.
+ Understanding how hits were made, whether by the person who hits or by the person who is hit, is helpful in both cases. This requires a high level of attention and experience. A key prerequisite is the stamina to be able to do this. Training helps.
+ Feedback geben

+
+ ===== What =====
+
+ Anything that we believe could be of general interest and that has become established in our organisation.
+
+ Information from internal areas of other groups will be withheld for at least one season. So that this group has the opportunity to use it effectively itself first.
+
+ This is an important behavioural principle for those of us who are in two groups, but also when we take part in internal training sessions of other groups or when we exchange information with others about training or strategies.
+
+
+ ==== When ====
+
+ There is a constant process of writing down observed and new reflections in the Heydenwall environment, this happens in the ‘co-op’ and ‘internal’ areas of the homepage.
+
+ There is a step-by-step peer review from ‘internal’ to ‘co-op’ to publicly accessible.
+
+ * **internal**: The new product must first prove to be useful in Heydenwall's activities and be established to a certain extent in the application.
+ * **coop**: Often it is then revised by other Heydenwallis or written down again and made public for everyone. Other groups can then also see it here and all the new ones, which means that the text is once again exposed to criticism.
+ * **publicly viewable**: Then, usually after a year, the text is published on the homepage after a spelling correction and, if possible, a translation.
+
+ Translations can always be requested and are then usually done quite quickly.
+
+
+ === Why ===
+
+ On the one hand, it is very productive for a group to deal with what they are doing. On the other hand, we see no reason to keep what we have learnt to ourselves. We also hope that others will take a critical look at what we say and thus draw our attention to other perspectives or approaches.
+
+ This process results in a cycle of innovation. This consists of the following elements: Acting, perceiving, fixing and reflecting. In addition, writing things down makes it easier to pass them on to others.
+
+
+
+ === Who ===
+
+ With us, anyone who feels like writing something down can do so.\\
+ Most texts involve several people who criticise and discuss them.\\
+ Sometimes there are also working groups, such as in the basic training programme.\\
+ The ideal is the co-creative process.\\

  ===== Equalisation options during the game =====

  In large games, it makes sense to create an independent group that intervenes in the game depending on the game situation. The independent group can thus influence weaknesses and strengths and normalise imbalance situations, but should not intervene in winning or losing in a biased manner.
-
  This group can also serve as a communication system for the game management.

+ ====== What does the command ======
+
+ ===== Basic consideration =====
+
+ by Friedrich
+
+ I was asked the other day, “What does the command actually do?”
+ I would like to explain here, as briefly as I can, what from my point of view, the main command of a site does.
+
+ These are basically the following 3 tasks: Fungineer, Overview, Lead
+
+
+ ==== Fungineer ====
+
+ A composition of Fun and Engineer (generate fun). This means that the main command motivates the people of the site, if possible provides everyone with a position that is fun, challenges them, but does not overburden them (noticeable self-efficacy).
+
+ ==== Overview ====
+
+ Free the page from the task of the overview! This means that the groups and fighters can take care of their task without worrying until a new task comes along. Not to have to look around and to orientate themselves, because behind you someone stands and still makes “Möp Möp” and thus is sure that everything is okay back there.
+
+
+ ==== Lead ====
+
+ This means preparing, bringing about, or making decisions before and in battle, providing orientation (when to line up, where and how/when to go, what to do). Depending on the possibility, this is an own or a joint decision. In battle, almost always one's own.
+
+
+ ===== What does that look like specifically? =====
+
+ Most of it is sorting/ structuring and motivating.
+
+ It is not possible to determine everything. That's why it's necessary to form groups and not to intervene in the groups, or to intervene very little. To find or determine contact persons with these groups. And then to assign tasks to these groups, as if they were individuals, according to their abilities. XY to the right, Z to the right, and R to the reserve. All ready? Even the other side? And go. And always, even just in battle, motivate. Negative things demotivate. Questions make you think. Both nothing for or during a battle. So don't do that. Saying positive things. Doing. Do. Do.
+
+ Reinforce strengths - hold weaknesses.
+
+ That's it.
+
+ And -
+
+ Go
+
