Shield strap attachment with rings

First, rings connected to a staple and washers are needed. The rings shown here have a diameter of 25 mm.

A hole must now be drilled where the strap is to be attached. The hitch is then inserted into the shield from the inside out, positioning a washer on each side. The washers distribute the pressure on the shield a little more, so that the wood of the shield is not worn down so quickly by the rotating movements of the ring.

Then just fold the staple over so that it is tight (but not too tight) against the shield. The hitch is then rounded off so that the opponent is not injured when the shield is actively used.

Next, the leather strap is attached to the shield. Done!
