The T-Formation
The T-formation is especially usable in tactical fights with small groups, open battlefield and inexperienced fighters.
It allows for unexpected initiative from the back row without crossing paths and without giving away which flank will do the manouvre beforehand.
In bigger battles the t-formation can be used to reform the group.
Basic Formation
A standard T-formation could look like this:
R = reserve and runner
K = command
L = long weapon (spears / daneaxes)
O = shield-people (axes / one-handed spears / swords)
blue = regular fighters
black = (sub)command
Things this formation can achieve:
- paths for reserve and runners do not cross
- flexible use of back row fighters
- easy turning around the center of the front row
